Purpose

What is Dibsicals?

Through Dibsicals, we foster a community of collaboration, inspiration, and support among creators of all kinds. Dibs is a unique platform that empowers creators to claim credit for their work. Creators get creatives timestamped, even the work-in-progress versions, and establish proof of possession. They connect with like-minded creators to create their tribe to like, share, and follow each others’ work.

Code of Conduct

We strive to keep our community a positive space that all can enjoy. We are a community of creators who value respect, diversity, ownership, and collaboration. We expect all members to follow the rules and guidelines when interacting with others on our platform. We want to achieve a lively place of purposeful thought-sharing and inspiration, and we highly encourage sharing, liking, and following the content of your favorite creators. Please follow these guidelines when interacting with others on our platform.

What We Are Fans Of

  • Be kind and courteous. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Do not insult, harass, or bully anyone or use offensive or abusive language.
  • Be honest and ethical. Do not lie, cheat, or steal. Do not plagiarize, copy, or claim credit for someone else’s work. Give proper attribution and credit when using other’s work.
  • Be responsible and accountable. Do not spam, troll, or disrupt the platform or the community. Do not post or share any illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content. Report any violations or issues to the moderators or the platform.
  • Be supportive and constructive. Encourage and appreciate others’ work and efforts. Provide helpful and respectful feedback. Seek to learn from and help others.

What We’re Not Fans Of

At My Dibs, we strive to create a safe, respectful, and engaging community for all our users. Our moderation team reviews, reports and takes action within one business day through our admin portal. To maintain this environment, we have established the following guidelines.

1. Spam
     Definition: Misleading or repetitive posts that disrupt the community experience.

     Examples:

  • Posting the same message or link multiple times across different threads.
  • Sharing irrelevant or off-topic content that doesn’t contribute to the discussion.
  • Using deceptive tactics such as clickbait titles or false claims to attract attention.

      Action:

  • Posts identified as spam will be removed within one business day by the Dibs moderation team.
  • Users who repeatedly post spam may receive warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans depending on the severity and frequency of the behavior.

2. Misinformation
     Definition: False or misleading information related to health, climate, voting, or conspiracies.

     Examples:

  • Sharing unverified health advice that could potentially harm individuals.
  • Spreading false information about climate change or environmental issues.
  • Promoting conspiracy theories that lack credible evidence and can cause public harm.

     Action:

  • Misinformation will be flagged and removed within one business day by the Dibs moderation team.
  • Users spreading misinformation may receive warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent bans based on the impact and intent of the misinformation.

3. Hateful Activities
     Definition: Content that promotes prejudice, stereotypes, white supremacy, or uses slurs.

     Examples:

  • Posts that demean individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or other protected characteristics.
  • Sharing content that promotes hate groups or extremist ideologies.
  • Using derogatory slurs or language intended to insult or harm others.

     Action:

  • The Dibs moderation team will remove Hateful content within one business day.
  • Users engaging in hateful activities may face immediate and permanent bans to ensure the safety and inclusivity of the community.

4. Challenge Dibs
     Definition: Violations of intellectual property rights.

     Examples:

  • Sharing copyrighted material such as music, videos, or articles without authorization.
  • Using someone else’s creative work (e.g., artwork, writing) without permission or proper attribution.
  • Posting content that infringes on trademarks or patents.

     Action:

  • Content violating intellectual property rights will be taken down within one business day by the Dibs moderation team.
  • Users who repeatedly violate intellectual property rights may face account suspension or permanent bans.

5. Inappropriate Content
     Definition: Content that includes nudity, sexual activity, pornography, child abuse, violence, or promotes dangerous organizations.

     Examples:

  • Posting explicit images, videos or content that contain nudity, sexual acts, and child abuse.
  • Sharing graphic violence or content that glorifies harm or injury.
  • Promoting or supporting terrorist groups or other dangerous organizations.

     Action:

  • The Dibs moderation team will remove the inappropriate content within one business day.
  • Users posting such content may be banned from the platform to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

What to Expect When Rules are Violated

We take the code of conduct seriously and expect you to do the same. The Dibs moderation team will do a thorough investigation, and if you breach the code of conduct, we will take appropriate action, such as:

  • Warnings: We may issue a warning, either privately or publicly, and ask you to stop the offending behavior or remove the offending content.
  • Sanctions: We may impose sanctions on you, such as limiting your access to certain features, functions, or areas of the platform or reducing your reputation or ranking on the platform.
  • Suspension: We may suspend your account temporarily, either for a fixed period of time or until you comply with specific conditions and prevent you from accessing or using the platform or the community.
  • Removal: We may permanently remove your account and ban you from accessing or using the platform or the community again.
  • Legal action: We may take legal action against you, either civil or criminal, if your behavior or action violates any laws or regulations or causes any harm or damage to us, our platform, our community, or any third party.

We reserve the right to determine the severity and frequency of the violations and the appropriate response at our sole discretion. We also reserve the right to report any violations or issues to the relevant authorities if necessary.

What should you do if you see a violation of the code of conduct?

If you witness or experience any violations of the code of conduct or have any complaints or concerns about the code of conduct, please report them to us as soon as possible. You can contact us at hello@dibs.design

You can also report the creative with your comments, which will be received and 

We will investigate the violation and take appropriate action within one business day, as described above. We will also inform you of the outcome and resolution of your report, and we will follow up with you if we need any further information or feedback.

Acknowledgement and Terms of Use

This code of conduct is not exhaustive and may not cover all possible situations or scenarios. We may update or revise this code of conduct as needed to reflect the changes or needs of our platform and our community. You agree to abide by the updated or revised code of conduct by continuing to access or use our platform or community.

All community members are expected to abide by Community Guidelines at all times. Members are also expected to comply with the law of the land.

The definitions of various subjective terms, such as “inappropriate,” will be decided at the sole discretion of the Community Administrators.

Privacy — No one has signed an NDA to participate in this community, and you should not presume anything you say here will remain private, so act accordingly. Protect your intellectual property and legally protected information.
